The Liberia Football Association says the planned visit of the General Secretary of UEFA has been called off. The LFA in a release said the visit was called off due the ongoing terrorist situation in Brussels, Belgium.
UEFA General Secretary Theodore Theodoridis and UEFA Integrity Officer for Legal Affairs/Disciplinary Services Urs Kluser were part of a two-men high-powered delegation that was due in Liberia from March 22-23, 2016. The UEFA delegation was expected to discuss football development and cooperation with the Liberian FA.
The LFA release said the local football house is working with UEFA to rearrange the visit and will communicate appropriately with the public on a new day for the visit.
The LFA expresses sympathy to the people of Belgium, its partner UEFA and the world for the loss sustained.
