Nine Foreign-Based Players Arrive in Djibouti; others Expected to Arrive Tuesday Morning

Players invited for the National Team, the Lone Star, crunch back-to-back African Cup of Nations qualifiers have begun arriving in Djibouti ahead of the match this Thursday, March 24, 2016.
Reports from the team’s camp say nine of the 19 players invited arrived in Djibouti on Sunday.

Players in Djibouti are Theo Lewis Weeks of ERMIS (Cyprus), Solomon Grimes of NEA SALAMINA FAMAGUSTA FC (Cyprus), Omega Roberts of FK DONJI SREM (Serbia) and Gizzie Dorbor of HAPOEL AFULA(Israel).

Others are Kpah Sherman of SANTOS (South Africa), Zah Krangar of FELDA UNITED FC (Malaysia), Patrick Wleh of SELANGOR (Malaysia), Teah Dennis of AL AHLI (Jordan) and Marcus MaCcaulley of AL AHLI(Jordan).

News from the camp say the rest of the players are due in on late Monday afternoon and early Tuesday morning.

The local delegation headed by LFA 2nd Vice President Cassell Kuoh and Coach James Salinsa Debbah along with Technical Director Henry Brown arrived in Djibouti early Monday morning. Six local players made up the delegation.

Liberia need both wins against Djibouti to strengthen their chance of qualifying for the 2017 African Cup of Nations in Gabon.

Liberia are on 3 points in Group A along with Tunisia while Togo lead the group with 6 points.
