The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have announced the draw for the preliminary rounds of this year’s African Champions League and Confederation Cup, respectively.

Liberia’s two representatives in this year’s continental showpiece, Barrack Young Controllers (2018 First Division Champions) and LISCR FC (2018 FA Cup Runners-Up), have been drawn against Horoya Athlétique Club of Guinea and USM Bel Abbès of Algeria, respectively.

Both clubs will be on the road in their respective first leg on November 27/28, 2018 before returning to host in Monrovia on December 5/6, 2018.

The Barrack Young Controllers will travel to Conakry, Guinea on November 27/28 to battle Horoya Athlétique Club in the first leg of the Preliminary Round of the 2018-19 CAF Champions League before welcoming their opponents at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia for the second leg on December 4, 2018.

LISCR FC will jet into Sidi Bel Abbès, Algeria for the first leg of the Preliminary Round of the 2018-19 CAF Confederation Cup against USM Bel Abbès on November 27/28 before hosting their opponents at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia for the second leg on December 5, 2018.

LISCR – 2018 LFA Cup Runners-Up

If Barrack Young Controllers advanced after their two-legged tie, they will face either Al-Nasr (Libya) or Al-Hilal Jubah (South Sudan) in the First Round on December 14-16 and December 21-23.

If LISCR FC advanced after their two-legged tie, they will face either Enugu Rangers (Nigeria) or Defence Force (Ethiopia) in the First Round on December 14-16 and December 21-23.
