A three-day Football tournament has ended in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County. The tournament named and styled “Senior High Football Tournament for Peace and Reconciliation saw Bishop Juwle High School lifting the trophy.
The three-day knockout tournament brought together four High Schools and it was played at the Albert T.White Sports Stadium in Zwedru City.
Bishop Juwle High School buried Zwedru Multilateral High School 3-0 in the first game.
The day’s second match saw Robert Baker Richardson School scored a narrow 1-0 defeat over Tubman Wilson Institute.
Bishop Juwle High School outclassed Robert Baker Richard High School in the grand final in post match penalty kicks.
Regular playing time ended 1-1.
Bishop Juwle High School won the resulting penalty kicks 5-3.
The Start Mart Guest House in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County, sponsored the tournament.
